REFERRAL AGENT PARTNERS
What is a Referral Agent?
In a nutshell, a Referral Partner is a Massachusetts licensed real estate agent who receives a fee for referring someone they know to another Massachusetts licensed broker or agent (legally, only a broker can pay a referral fee). You can receive a referral even if your real estate license is in inactive status. If you have an active license you cannot legalize receive a referral fee unless you are associated with a broker. If your license is in active status, you can become associated with Armstrong Field as a Referring Agent.
Why would I want to be a Referral Agent, rather than actively sell real estate?
When you are actively listing and selling real estate you have to be available at all times. You cannot successfully hold a full-time job AND sell real estate. Showings, listing appointments, home inspection, etc. happen during the day, Monday - Friday, as well as the weekends. If you are not available you must rely on someone else to help you out. It is just not practical. As a Referral Partner, all you have to do is give a name and contact information and we will do the rest.
How much can I earn?
For each referral that you send to us, we will pay you 25% of the commission that Armstrong Field receives from the sale of the property after closing. For example: If the property sells for $600,000 and we receive a 2.5% commission, you would receive a referral check in the amount of $3,750!
Will I have to pay any fees or dues?
No. As a Referral Agent, you do not have to join the REALTOR association or subscribe to the MLS service. This saves you about $1,000 per year. There is no cost to join the Armstrong Field Referral Program, and no other fees.*
Who can I refer to you?
You can refer anyone to us that you personally know - family, friends, co-workers, business associates, the mailman, teachers - just about anyone! The only thing we ask is that you talk with the person first and give him/her/them some basic info about us. Then give us a call or fill out the online referral form and we will take it from there. The next thing you know you will have a referral check from us!
How do I sign up?
If you are a real estate agent with an active, inactive or expired Massachusetts real estate license, all you have to do is to give us some basic information. We will get back to you via email (No one will call you unless you want us to).
